How to use P2P engine for making calls ?

Our Moitele softphone works with multiple engines. The default engine is WebRTC. However, when this default engine does not work, you can choose P2P engine.

P2P engine creates a mini conference between the caller and the callee. To use this engine, follow the steps below - 
  1. Logout from the softphone
  2. Then on the login page, click the setttings icon on the right hand top corner and select the dropdown under 'Engine'
  3. Change the Engine from WebRTC to P2P
  4. Now login with your credentials
  5. Once you login, a popup will show. This popoup contains two phone number fields.
    1. In the first field, type in your phone number with country code (Example: 911234567894, here 91 is the country code and 1234567894 is the mobile number)
    2. Second number is generally filled in automatically. This number is the caller ID that will be displayed to the callee.
    3. Once you fill in both the phone numbers, close the popup by clicking 'Save/Submit' button
  6. Now, you can type in any phone number to initiate a call. 
  7. First a call will be made to the agent's phone number (first mobile number in the popup in step 5), answer the call. Then second call will be made to the desired destination you typed in in step 6.
  8. Two calls (one to the caller and second to the destination) are now joined. You can continue the conversation.
