Are there any restrictions on the numbers to be used as caller IDs?
Moitele recommends to use legal, genuine phone numbers as caller IDs. We also recommend our customers to be able to prove the ownership of the phone numbers when issues arise. Across the world, all the major telecom providers have improved their spam controls by deploying various tools and methods. Hence we recommend to make sure that the caller IDs match the following criterion -
- Caller IDs should not be short numbers between 1-7 digits
- Every international calls should originate with a caller ID that also has the country code
- Customer has to make sure that the caller ID is not marked as SPAM.
- Do not spoof the caller IDs by randomly using some unknown number or other company's phone number
- Always buy and use only the numbers where you can prove the ownership
Can we call as 'Unknown' or random numbers as caller IDs?
No. We do not allow calls with out a genuine phone number or valid phone number in international format. We do not allow calls as 'Unknown' or random numbers as caller IDs.
Can we display our existing business phone number as caller ID?
Yes, you can use your business phone number as caller ID as long as you can prove the ownership of the phone number. We also recommend to check if the number is active at the time of making the outbound calls.
