Which type of authentication is best for connecting with Moitele?
Moitele supports two types of authentication - user authentication or IP authentication. The type of authentication also depends on the purpose and business process. Here we describe two situations and the suitable authentication method.
- A contact centre has its employees working from office. The contact centre has its own PBX in the office or cloud. Agents register on the contact center's PBX and dial the phone numbers.
- When a contact centre has its own PBX, we recommend to use the IP authentication to send calls from the PBX to Moitele. This way, we can better assure that calls are allowed only from a particular IP. So, any calls coming from a different IP are outrightly rejected and only the calls coming from a particular IP are allowed and billed to the customer's account. This is more stringent and secure.
- A contact centre has its employees working from home. The contact centre does NOT have its own PBX in the office or cloud.
- When a contact centre does NOT have a PBX, users can directly register on our servers. In this case, we recommend user authentication. For the user authentication, businesses can create multiple agent/employee accounts on our customer portal.
